after a few hours of normal racing, my second CLK DTM in as many hours has lost its spoiler. the trouble is, that the DTM spoilers dont come out of there slots like other cars, they just snap straite iff at the body, meaning u cant get the snapped bit out. so i now hav 2 mercs sat on my shelf waiting to have the glue applied!!! it makes me not want to race them, but there such fun to drive!

All raced cars take damage though. Those Mercs can be amongst the best around for racing.
Here is a tip for the spoiler - it Isn't foolproof but works so far for me.

Before putting the car on the track remove the body and using a knife and small flat blade screwdriver, trim the inside of the spoiler where it is heat flattened to fix it and ease it totally out of the body.
Then trim the sides of the locating holes slightly as well as the plugs of the spoiler until they are a snug but not loose fit. Replace the spoiler and refit the body.
Now, when you race and tip/crash the spoiler will fall out instead of snap.

QUOTE (Skeeter @ 10 Jan 2005, 13:04)ill remember that for my new cars, but its a bit late for my current mercs

I think you can get the wings as spares from scalextric (or Pendle and other specialist retailers)

Maybe the best bet is to remove the tab in the cars and get new wings...

ive kinda glued them back together, so getting the snapped bits off is practucaly impossble. the glue has set rock hard tho, so its gonan be a case of they stay on untill somthing big when they will come off hard!
