Hello,

My quick story, I saw a review of a car I would like in April, on May 17th I ordered and paid for 3 car, $375.

Marco, the owner emailed me back and forth several times, but now won't respond, I still want the cars, I
understand problems like this in manufacturing slot cars, but communication solves all problems.

I hope do get the cars, but just a big buyer beware @ the moment. See links below.

Hi Ncng,

I too share your pain having ordered 4 cars and 1 kit, also in March. However I am still receiving emails from Marco, so I hope he's just suffering from an order overload.

Recently they have launched some other cars which I would also like to own but not before I receive what I have already paid for. I noted they have now a championship in Italy for the make, so they're still around.

Let's hope it's not too much longer with our orders. Let me know when you get yours and I'll let you know once I receive mine.

Also if anyone else has been getting cars from them can they let us know how long theirs has taken, and when they arrived. If just to give us confidence that they're still working through orders.

Hi all,

I really like Marco's slot cars and I now have 3. However, the purchases have not been totally smooth BUT I did receive the cars.

I ordered one in May and after some chasing him via e-mail received it mid July.

I think that Marco may be a victim of his own success. With worldwide orders, new models and the championship perhaps he is a bit overloaded? Sometimes I have had to e-mail twice before receiving a response.

A small word of warning though is that sometimes the cars are not really packaged for international posting. The Toleman I received had a broken nose and roll bar. I repaired both parts but it is a bit disappointing to spend £90 on a car and then have to repair it.

All in all, I have found Marco helpful and friendly and his cars great fun to drive and will continue to order from him in the future.

I did just here back from Marco in a very honest response I thought,
I told him communication was the key, I was not mad, just wondering,
I told him to take his time and do the best job he could on the cars,

He is doing our hobby a favor, and is obviously overwelmed and I
would hate to destroy that!

The same is happening to me. I have paid for 3 kits and a week later asked about the status of the order (in italian), a week has passed and no reply. In my opinion, he should not ask for the money before he is able to send the order immediately or be very explicit about the waiting time and he should definitely respond to emails.

I saw a video of him talking about the cars he makes and he looks like a great guy with a passion for his cars but unfortunately he also looks like a guy that could not answer emails which is bad for his business.

I will put a post here if he communicates and also when the car arrives to give a sense of will happen to other people that will buy from Nonnoslot and then become worried. I also think that (if the kits arrive) he doing something unique in this hobby, he is producing a good number of inexistent F1 cars at a quite low price.

Fair opinion, this is how I do it although cash flow can be quite a problem!

Did you ask for this when you ordered, or sent the payment? It may just be that people have different expectations

i understand from a post on another slot info site that NONNO SLOT is making the 312b Regazzoni tribute cars for the Regazzoni Memorial Room ...200 ltd edition with figure etc. at €150 each.
my guess is he s busy making those.

Our 312B is almost ready, the resin model being made by the craftsman Marco Guerrieri, well-known in the slot-car world for his F1 models under the Nonno Slot name (http://www.nonnoslot.com/), while the mechanical parts and the motor will be by NSR, thanks to Salvatore Noviello who has whole-heartedly supported the project. The boxed set will be available in two versions, WINNER (the slot car being without driver and the figurine of Clay with the cup standing alongside the model) and PIT STOP (with Clay aboard the car and surrounded by three mechanics). The two sets will have different graphics and will be produced in limited editions of 100 pieces per group. Along with the model and them figurines, the set will also comprise a disc with multimedia material on Clay and Monza 1970.
The cost of each set will be €150. The proceeds from the sale of the sets will be donated to research in the field of paraplegia, as is the case with all Clay Regazzoni Memorial Room activities. The initiative was born out of an desire to create and share with enthusiasts through a series of collectors' models a great quality of partially unpublished video and photographic documentation regarding Clay's career and the automotive world. It is our intention to gradually reproduce all of Clay's cars, alternating those of the first part of his career with those he drove following the Long Beach accident, recounting on each occasion a chapter in the history of motor racing.
We like to imagine ourselves as an island where diverse producers, in this case Salvatore Noviello of NSR and Marco Guerrieri of Nonnoslot, may recognise themselves in the spirit of the Clay Regazzoni Memorial Room and come together and contribute to the creation of collectors' pieces.

The good news, I did my cars, it took about 5 months! But cars look good, actually I am yet to assemble them, I am to busy at some parts of year.

I was keen on the Regazzoni car but after reading the Brabham review here on SF I am not so keen. It would be great to hear from those of you who recently bought cars as to whether or not had similar issues as Conti.

I received a Ferrari F187 kit about five weeks ago (order placed in May, I think) and compared with the F187 kit we reviewed in SlotCarMAG back in April there are a few differences and improvements.

Firstly, and importantly, the axles are now of the correct length; a too-short front axle was the cause of the wheel wobble in Conti's Brabham review, so that is now completely cured. The two-part crown gear has been replaced by a Slot.it offset crown. The baffling assortment of spacers and screws have been reduced to a much more obvious set of parts. The chassis has been altered slightly too, and from a kit-building point of view the alignment of the body with the chassis is a lot easier because the screw holes in the chassis are now elongated to give a little 'leeway' when the body is being drilled for the screws for the first time. The new chassis has some embossed lines which should also make things a little easier, and mine came pre-painted in black, although the paint was flaking off in places so I ended up painting it anyway! One omission was the spare front and rear wings, and I have to say that the quality of moulding wasn't quite up to the earlier model, but was still perfectly acceptable.

The kit went together very well, I was pleased with the overall appearance and most importantly it's a very good slot car. I would agree that Marco has been a victim of his own success. These cars are worth the wait, but more communication would make the wait a little easier.
