Certainly not a Bauer Kit,but,a lot less expensive to piece together out of the junkbox as it were.

I have less than 20.00 invested in this, and performance is pretty outstanding.Much more so than the real machine, which was a real Dog's Breakfast in the handling department.

Basically,a Strombecker Cheetta shell, with a Salvaged Ninco Cobra chassis(Wheelbase is Exactly right for this shell.),some BWA wheels and inserts shod with Ortman tires(The Ortman's were most of the cost of this project)Acouple of bits of Posical Stick for front wheel bearings(and also the most important part in making it handle so well). Some paint,Decals,my Repro Pipes and Carbs,a few hours labour, and viola,a real nice looking great handling Cheetta on the Cheap.

Yeah but your work is ALWAYS outstanding!

Good to know the Ninco chassis will fit the strombecker body too

BTW - who pinched your lights??

Maybe we shoul have a little page here on SF for Cheetah rebuilds.

ANyone wanting to take part send me a pic of their Cheetah from front side and rear, along with a break down of parts used and work done and I will do the SlotForum Cheetahs page.

Those submitted already will be the first against the wall come the revolution - I mean on the page when it goes up...

Ive been puting a few things together for the upcoming autumn season of slotcar shows that kicks off this weekend in Paris, amongst them these two cheetahs

First is a 1/32 Cox Cheetah, put together from all new parts.

and next a very scarce 1/24 Cox Cheetahracha (cheetah body with a cucuracha chassis)

P.S. I've probably got some lights for that Strombecker car if you need them.

Thanks Jim,those are BW32001 and BW32003 Front and Rear, modified with a groove to take the Ortman Monogram repro tires.

I have since had to remove the Ortmans from the back and replace them with MRRC Chappy/Cobra rears,as the Ortmans just give way too much grip on my track, and it was impossible to keep the car off it's roof.Even with the rather large amounts of Artificial Gravity you can see strapped to the bottom of the chassis.
