We were discussing it at the club this evening, John.
Motors will be handouts, but tyres are a little more complicated and a decision hasn't been made yet.
NSR's usual handout tyre compound doesn't work on our track, and handout tyres of any sort are problematic because once mounted they'll need to be trued properly, so it seems most likely that tyres will be bring-your-own with a free choice of compound, so long as they're identifiable with a visible NSR logo on at least one sidewall of each tyre. Specifying a compound would be next to impossible to police.
If it's any help, some of the Molesey guys use Ultragrip Evos, others Supergrip Evos. I'm not aware of anyone using Extremes. The "black reds" don't work at all.
We're still in discussion with NSR and Gaugemaster and should have a definitive answer about tyres in a week to ten days' time, which I'll post here as soon as I have it.
HI guys, I am not going to make this event, have a good time without me.
Thanks for letting me know.
We've had a couple more withdrawals too, so we have 3 spaces available. If anyone is still thinking about entering, put your name down now so you don't miss out on what will be a great event. NSR's Formula 86/89 cars are brilliant around our track and you can look forward to some very close racing.
David.
