It has come to our attention that the magazine "SLOT" as published by Doolittle Media, has listed an INCORRECT email for people to contact in order to enter the NSR Championship round (31st August - 1st September 2019).

If you are a reader of this publication, and have tried to enter or contact me, please note that the correct email for enquiries or entry should be as per THIS poster!

SUNDAY 1st SEPTEMBER - GT3

Doors open about 07:30hrs

Free practice

Prize Giving and Lottery draw.

Also

Food/Drinks will be served on each day from approx. 09:00hrs. Run by Dave Druce and Lorraine.

As stated in previous emails, Tescos is very close plus a McColls. Fish and chips and Chinese is about a 4 min drive. McDonalds probably 10 mins.

We will try and break for lunch, BUT, there are a lot of heats and finals to get through (as well as your stints at marshalling), so it may not be possible. You should (in theory) get plenty of time between heats to eat and drink anyway.

There isn't many plug sockets in the hall, so on the table next to Dave Druce there will be a soldering iron set up for you. (If there's a socket in the entrance hall, we might place it there instead).

Plus anything else I've forgotten and will remember on the day

Well, the first day of racing is over. Many many thanks to all that turned up and I hope you enjoyed yourselves!
There was some really close racing all through the field, but it was obvious, if you wanted to win then the Porsche 908/3 was the car to have. All six drivers in the A Final used one.

Thank you to Nascot wood members for holding the event that ran very smoothly. My first ever analogue race on plastic track, and I got better than expected results.

My particular thanks to the lady whom did an amazing job providing food, cakes, especially the carrot cake were superb.

Good luck for the GT3 races today.

Can we take this opportunity to thank all the entrants that took part in the UK NSR Championships over the weekend.
It was bl**dy hard work toiling away in the background, but the committee (and also help from Russell Turner) made sure that we finished each day in good time and the races kept going. For those of you that went away with prizes (whether they be large or small), well done!
Many thanks to Loraine for the kitchen duties that kept the troops fed and watered. (The burnt bacon incident was a classic though).

It has to be said that the prizes sent to us direct from NSR were fantastic, plus of course all the tyres and motors that were handed out each day to the drivers.

Well done to everyone!
