Molesey Slot Car Club are proud to announce we will be hosting a 24 hour race on our new six lane Ninco track, for the NSR range of classic cars.

The race will be held over the weekend of 16th/17th of February 2013 and will be run to the same rules as the WRE 24 hour held in Italy annually.

Full details of rules, entry cost, schedule etc. Will follow soon.

Provisionally we already have six teams as follows:

1. Demon Slot.
2. GT Raceway.
3. Molesey SCC.
4. Norwich.
5. Oxford.
6. Truspeed.

Teams need to comprise 4-6 drivers, so it might be worth anyone not affiliated to these clubs who would like to participate, to post there interest here. So teams that are short can make up the numbers.

Whilst nowhere near as big as the Italian event it will give a real taster of what these fantastic cars are all about and just how much fun a 24 hour can be.

As I've said, more details to follow soon.

Thanks

Just going by what was posted by Mr. Grainger in the original thread mate!
As I've said this list is provisional and if you want the Norwich name removed from the list...no problem. Just let me know.

Ok, the more observant among you will have noticed that there are now seven interested teams for this event. This obviously could cause a slight problem on a six lane track

So, the fairest way to allocate the places is on a first come, first served basis.

The cost for this event will be £150 per team (4 minimum, 6 maximum). This will include: 4 sets of glued and trued NSR wheels and tyres + 2 NSR Shark 21 motors with pre fitted pinions.

To secure a place I will require a £30 non refundable deposit*. Please pm me for full details of where to send cheques etc.

As I've said before, there are always people who would like to take part but can't necessarily get a full team together, so chat amongst yourselves and see if you can build a 'barbarians' team!

This should be a fantastic event, the track I have to say is awesome (I know I'm biased
) and this is the surface these cars were developed for, so they do go rather well.

Thanks

*Deposit refundable in the event of the race being cancelled.

Ok, I think it's time to raise this thread from the bowels of the machine
I appreciate this event is still six months away and I know we all have a million things going on in our lives, but to date I've had no confirmed entries. All the tyres/motors etc. Have been ordered so could those who showed an interest when this event was first announced please let me know who's in and who's out. As mentioned earlier a deposit of £30 will be required to secure a place

I'll be posting the full rule book in the next week, which essentially will be a slightly less anal version of the NSR 24hr rules.

Stay tuned.
