Classic Grand Prix cars are coming to NWSCC on Saturday May 13th 2023.

North Wales Slot Car Club
Factory Place, Denbigh, LL16 3TS

This will be the usual Policar, run out the box with the exception of the replacement rear wheels and Policar F22 tyre.

The event will be all day, with practice and qualification heats during the first part and step-up finals to finish the day.

Entry will be £10

This is the Saturday before the UK Slotcar Festival Policar meeting
We have a wonderful sponsor that's on board also. Magnetic Racing is very generously sending us a few little bits for prizes and raffle. Amazing , thank you guys
Everyone is welcome
Special invitation to all other clubs out there. Come show us your skills
?

We may also run the usual Friday club night on the 12th before the event as an 'open wheel Friday' for further practice, testing and racing
Anyone is welcome to come over to join in the club night.

Cars:
Standard Polycar F1 Classic Grand Prix
Lotus 72
March 701
Ferrari 321
BRM 160

All parts to be box standard apart from allowing the Policar Aluminium Wheels and the use of the Policar F22 Tyre designed for those hubs.

Maximum distance between the rear wheel outer edges is 65mm (As per the new standards)
Maximum equivalent front wheel distance is 56mm

Club opens on Friday evening for practice and club racing at 19h00 till 23h00
Club opens on Saturday for the actual event at 09h30

Open practice will run as long as possible, depending on the number of entries.
Standard 3 or 4 minute heats will be run to determine the racer positions in the step-up finals.

The finals will be of longer duration but based on a fixed number of laps
(We hope time will allow at least 50 lap finals)

The top 2 racers will move up from each final to race in the next final, until the top A final.

Scrutiny of the cars will be quick and simple with just a check to the ground clearance being the main factor.

Can I come as well
Hi Steve, would love to come but for me it's too close to Gaydon to ask the wife for another day slotting, sorry.
Andi
Thanks Andi.
It is a pity that it had to be so close to the festival date, but it's the only one before some time in June that Scott from Denbigh could fit in.

It would be great to see you again Dave. You're most welcome. (As long as you don't take fastest lap again)
I would have liked to come and I know a couple of others who would have been interested but being so close to UKSF makes it impossible.

Thanks for letting me know. I will pass the news on to Scott at the Denbigh Club.
I suspect he will have another run at this on a more suitable date in the near future. :)

Hi Scotty. Updates to the entry list are shown on the first post of the thread. 🏁
I have very recently received the results from Scott at Denbigh for this Polycar event.
He has asked that I pot them here.
It's just a screen shot of the final places, so a little report will follow when I have time during this weekend.

Scott sends his thanks to everyone who attended.
