Just thought I'l post up some pictures of my rallycross track.

Took me a couple of months to build, on a 'small' budget.

It's a scalextric digital track on a 6ft by 4ft peice of MDF, could say its a semi-perminant set up since it rests up against my bedroom wall, when not in use, then sits on my bed when being used - the construction stages have deprived me of my bed for up to a week at a time while I let paper mache/paint/glue dry! - what I'l do for a track

All the photos are on my flickr account so have a look and let me know what you think

(More photos will be put on later and I may get a video up soon!)

I was planning to but that would of compromised the overall track length so I went with overall track length over the option of having a joker lap!

....but one day, when I have more room to play with......

You have demonstrated how to build a great layout on a small footprint of space.
Congratulations and here is looking forward to more developments!

Many thanks for sharing.

Cheers!

Thanks guys

'snurfen' I use earth coloured hobby grass and sprinkle that one the 'hill', then just use a mix of paint for the track, worked suprisingly well!

And when I try and put an image in like that, I get this;

"THE FOLLOWING ERROR(S) WERE FOUND
You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board. A valid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.gif, an invalid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.one.gif" ????????????????

Flickr is rather awkward to post photos from in comparison to some of the other host sites. I can remember fiddling around working out how to do it one day to help someone else out, but I've forgotten now what I did.

BTW: Love the track. Looks great for such a little footprint.

Great work!

I still find it hard to believe that this is only a 4'x6' layout. It appears much bigger and of course much better than a simple figure 8 layout that I started out with over 45 years ago!

Congratulations on you accomplishment!

Cheers!
