Depends. If you like the car, joing for that is probably enough because you get the club magazine too - but I found the magazine a bit hit-and-miss. Sometimes it has something of interest, other times not. On the whole, I find that joining *only* for the magazine isnt worth it, but if you like the car then it is probably worth it.

Perhaps bite the bullet, join and see what you think? You arent commited to renewing next year if you find that you dont feel it has been worth it.

I dont like the rather plain car this year, so I wont be renewing, but it's very much a personal choice.

Well their customer service is in one word excellent.
I rejoined for this year's Mc Laren, but last week, to my surprise, with the 2012 membership card i received the 2011 car (an Audi).
After contacting customer service and reporting the mistake, i was told i could keep the car sent by mistake and the the 2012 car will be sent to me next week.

Not over keen on the Club Car this year but re joined any way. More upset that the membership card has got last years Audi on it still. Mind you, it looks better than it would with that dodgy looking Mclaren on it. What a rubbish colour!

I'm not overly fussed by the look of the McLaren but thought i would join for the first year and give it a go

Mine is here. Better looking model than any pictures had me believe but still a rubbish colour. And no date on it, just the club logo. Reminds me of the F40 we got way back. Just a plain blue road version. Money saving? SCX worlwide are not even doing a club car for 2012. You get a good deal if you do sign up though. The iast two years cars for the price of one membership! Must have bought too many. Just make sure you specify digital or analogue when you sign up. I ended up with digital and I don't run digital. DOH! Nice looking models though and will soon have their chips out.

I think if they are going to produce a club car with the Scalextric Club logo on it it should be a racing car where the logo can blend into the livery. I haven't joined this year as I thought the car really looked, well, odd.

So, as far as I noticed, "Wraith" and "Not alone after .." are the first to announce the arrival of the blue one, both on Feb 4th. Both living in the UK.
This morning Feb 6th, at 9.02 o'clock, my post lady turned into Lady Christmas (how do you call an female Santa ?) so, in Hornby's terms, Belgium is only two days behind Britain.
Car looks impeccable. The color is much darker than shown on the pictures. Not the Gulf-baby-blue at all.

I am still waiting for my car, I guess the snow has delayed delivery of it.

Subscibed between Chistmas and New Year, got clubcard and magazine (Issue 76 fromlast quarter 2011) and the promise that the car would follow but no word or sing about a catalogue.
