This sale is cool, but it is not new. They've been trying to get rid of this stock for ages.

OnTracks have a great online shop and good prices with a very friendly after-sale service. They were very perplexed when I ordered my Challenger with them 3 months ago that it wasn't available from Hornby right away.

As I was saying to Inte, they have no reason not to sell us the GT40's because they are current cars and can be ordered easily.

It looks like Jan/Feb are going to be good months, with lots of possible bargains to be found during the quiet period? Also, with the new releases expected shortly (BMW, Daytona, Lotus) & the MK Swapmeet.

Just received the following mail from them:

I am sorry to inform you that one or more items on your order are
now discontinued and no longer available. These have had their 'Qty Ordered'
(below) changed to Zero.
If you would like to discuss alternatives, please contact us.
Otherwise we will continue processing the remainder of your order as normal.

I will be emailing them about this because legally the price that it is advertised is the price we pay. The Fly GT40 is NOT 'discontinued or no longer available' and I am sure that most of the other cars aren't either.

I've been here before with Game and Amazon. The companies terms and conditions normally state that an order is only accepted when a card is debited until that point either party may terminate the order. I know that Argos have honoured a mistake in the past. The website did state they had 0 in stock when I ordered....

i rec'd an email last night confirming receipt of my order but nowt else yet (however it was sunday night) so I am full of optimism. A nice big 9 car package will hopefully be awaiting me in a few days.

'No longer available' is interpreted to mean no longer available from the advertiser. You cannot possibly make them supply what they don't have! All shops have sales to clear stock but, once cleared, NONE of them will bring in more new stock to sell at that reduced price. It would be crazy!
