Event Information
The venue is the home of Derby HO Racing club, who have recently expanded their activity to include 1/32 digital racing. Their Sebring layout will be recreated in Ninco, powered by Oxigen, for a 3 hour endurance event for DiSCA GT4 and TC spec cars. Cars will be split into the following categories;

* Ford GT will not be accepted in any category.

The Oxigen wireless digital system will require teams to fit a Type C or B2 oxigen in car chip to their cars, and use a Slotit SCP1/2/3 hand controller.

09:00 Doors open / Free Practice.
10:30 Handout parts are issued
11:00 Qualifying Session. All cars on track.
11:30 Track Closed. Technical Inspection / Lunch

We are aiming for a more relaxed feel to this meeting and timekeeping will not be so strict as with other DiSCA events. Therefore, timings given are approximations.

Firmware updates will be available in downtime, but please try to arrive with the correct versions. Latest versions will be clarified nearer the race date.

Registration
We are placing a soft limit of 9 entries, for teams of two or three drivers. In the case of exceptional demand we may look at expanding the layout to four lanes in order to accommodate a larger grid. Registration must be made online using the Google Form.

Entry fee is £15 per team and must be prepayed in full, using PayPal to [email protected].

We hope to see you trackside for some Floridian style fun!

Due to an unforeseen change in RRLA Security policy the site will not be open until 09.30 tomorrow. As such the previously issues schedule will move back by one half hour.

Sunday 31st October
0930 Doors open
1000-1100 Free Practice
1100 Handout parts are issued. Track closed.
1130-1200 Official Qualifying session. All cars on track.
1200 Track closed. Technical inspection / Lunch break.
1255 Warmup
1300 Green Flag Oxigen 3hrs Sebring
1600 Chequered Flag
1610 Award ceremony. Track is disassembled.

The organisation will also need to address some issues that arose during setup once inside the club room. Although the schedule has shortened practice by delaying the start by half an hour to account for this, we will begin practice as soon as we are ready.

I will post official results once we have the data from Chrono, as we had to add some laps post-chequered flag.

Congratulations to Exiles for the GT4 Am and overall win. Also to Richard a Hollingsworth driving for Chimera as best rookie.

Thanks to all for attending, particularly those travelling from the south coast and from west Wales. See you next time!

A big thanks to Gary and the DHORC guys for hosting and running the event.

The track was great to race on. A couple of quick straights and a couple of quite tight technical turns also.
9 was probably the max you'd really want as with only 2 lanes once you'd caught up to a battle between 2 other cars all you can do is sit behind waiting for one to pull away and follow them or wait for one of them to have a de-slot.

Overall driving standards were very good, you're always going to have contact when running more than one car in the same lane. A few incidents but that's digital racing for you.

The only criticism was lack of tea/coffee facilities on the day, soon resolved at lunch break, I popped out and got us some

Congrats to Exiles team.
Thanks, Gio
Sorry to rub it in but you'd of loved it 😀
Track was great, flowed very well. As usual Gary had done a great job of designing it.
Good range of corners, slow and tight and fast and flowing. We did suffer a slight power drop about halfway through.
Gary upped the volts a bit to compensate. Helped in the dropped zone but made it a bit more lively in the full power section. We had to use Slot-IT C1 As you know not the grippest tyre on Ninco. Great for sliding around though. There was only 1 car issue I think. Worthing lost the front axle, quick pit stop and there were back in the fight.
The standard of driving was excellent all day with some good banter thrown in just to make it more enjoyable.

No worries John ;-)
It is nice to see some digital racing happening.
I heard that many people enjoyed the format and want to organize other races.
Congratulations to the Exiles on the outright win, just a little too quick for us in WSR3D to reel in once the small gap was established. We were pleased to have taken the win in the Pro class.

We too were impressed with the overall driving standard and thoroughly enjoyed how busy the track was, it meant you were rarely free to just turn a string of fast laps. You really needed the ability to make passes in both lanes, carefully timing the lane changes. A chess like challenge when you found yourself on the back of a gaggle of cars occupying both lanes.

Thanks to to Disca and the DHORC organizing team for hosting the race and special thanks to Paul Taylor of WSR3D for providing us one of his SFX 3dp chassis for our Scalextric AMG Mercedes.

I assume this week Show&Tell is going to be predominantly about Wayne and this race! ;-)

Now that the dust has had time to settle are any of the teams keen for DHORC to run this event again in future?

Chimera Model Sport and Wsr3d are certainly up for it!
Good to hear Wayne. I think DHORC themselves are keen for us to go back.
