Hey there!

Thought you may all like to see my new circuit. I have been thinking about changing for a while and finally got round to using some of the knowledge I have learnt from many of you chaps. I played around with a number of variants before I settled on this, what do you all think?

Just got a DS200 lap timer and light bridge to add to it today. Gave it a very quick test earlier and it seems very good indeed, maybe I will do a mini review if anybody is interested in the near future?

Cheers,

Julian.

Slik !

Where's the Lover leap cliff ????

Caravan racing to be tried for the first time in Zürich tonight folks ! Tehy don't really knopw what I mean yet so will be amusing.

If I don't get kicked out for being so silly, I will post a report and pics over the weekend

Oh and Slik ?

Want to be the travelling Slot Video maker for Slotforum ??

Hey there!

Lover's leap just didn't fit in I'm afraid, I really wanted it too. If I had squeezed it in it would have meant sacrificing another part of the layout which I just didn't want to do. At the end of the day it was only a bit of papier mache and some chicken wire

The new circuit is on the same size table as before (12' 8" x 7') with no extension added as yet.

I'd love to take some video of some other tracks in the future, thankyou for asking.

Caravans huh? Soon......

Cheers,

Julian.

P.S. I just got a new job!

Hey there!

It is indeed called PCH because of the road in SoCal.
I love it from Sunset past Malilbu, spent a very nice afternoon on the beach there a good while back.

I hope not too many late Wednesday nights will be involved either.

Cheers,

slik.

You can't beat having a track surrounded by track borders to make it look for grow ups.

I hope you got a good border discount as you have purchased 50% of the Scalextric allocation of borders for the UK for this year Slik.

I just luv those hairpins. Why do some folk hate them? They don't know what real slot car racing is until they have experianced a Scaley SPORT hairpin.

I agree Moped, the Sport hairpin's are great fun to race on. I have always been a big fan of incorporating hairpin bends into circuits; it is one of the true places where real braking is required, and overtaking can be won/lost.

It is also one of the main reasons that has dissuaded me from trying Carrera track, regardless if is a superior system... No hairpins.

I dont think the need for Sport 'Squeeze' tracks is always required for hairpins. Although fun, the use of 2 half Double inner's would IMO suffice. Especially now Scalextric have released the R1/inner borders, elimating the old drop off problem.

Having had the pleasure to race on Sliks circuit, it is a blast, the squeeze sections are fun; especially with how Slik's has incorporated them, approaching both sets at a fair ol' pace...
