I agree with what MAF suggests. The main thing is to get a grease free body to work on and washing-up liquid will do the job. Becareful how you handle after cleaning as your fingers are naturally greasy, you don't want to have to keep redoing the job.
At the moment I'm using Halford's clear coat to protect completed bodies and have had no problems with that or any of the Halford's acryics range.
Halfords Paints work for me. I use Pattos decals and always seal them with Halfords clear coat and havent had a problem as yet.
The main thing is to be patient and only spray in VERY thin coats - especially the first clear coat on those decals that have taken a lifetime to apply!!
