Jeff Davies has kindly sent me these updated images showing some of Steve Francis' great paintings:

Steve of course also did the cover art for the book "Built With Passion, The Story of Rail Racing".

If you would like to read more you can visit Steve's page on the The Guild of Motoring Artists web site here:

...and, there is also an album of Steve's work to be found in the SlotForum member's gallery.

Thanks to Steve and Jeff

I love that painting of Gurney airborne! Reminds me of the last hill at the end of Mosport's backstraight. By the time cars settled back down to pavement, they had to brake hard for turn 8. Drivers with small 'parts' lifted just before the crest - Gurney was never one of them...

Thanks for posting them, JP! Thanks for letting us see them, Steve!

Looking at these wonderful works of art, it is not hard to see why I choose Steve for the cover of the book.

He has also built some of the best rail cars I have ever seen.

Thank you JP, I really like this painting as I enjoyed this period of tin top racing.

I also used to own a Escort Mk1 1300GT in the 70's.

Steve should soon have his own website and when he does I will post a link.
