Very cool utility poles. I am going to propose adding wires, despite the marshalling nightmare.
When I built a track for the dnano, scale 1/43, I got some plastic telephone poles. I have to say that puting lines on them made an huge impact on the track. The poles had 2 horizontal bars and more than 2 "thingies", more like 8 altogether, so the collection of 8 wires was visually striking.
