Continueing my quest for French cars from Le Mans 1955 a new challange has arisen.
Looking at - rare - pictures of the following teams and cars, there doesn´t seems to be much difference between the cars?
Automobiles Panhard et Levassor
Panhard VM5 #50 + 51
Société Monopole
Monopole X88 #52 + 53
Even the found diecast models of these cars seems identical. And to mix it all up further I found a car called Panhard X88????
So my question is: Are there any significant differences between a Panhard VM5 and a Monopole X88? And if yes, which?
