Bruce "Patto" has developed an easy way of turning vac-formed bodies into "hard" bodies by simply brushing a chemical onto the inside of the body. For details see here.

Has anyone tried it? Comments, tips, tricks?

Kind regards,

Russell

Hi Russell,
I have some here for the last month to test and review, as usual it is simply time for me at the moment and the fact the lexan bodies I bought to test it on were not that good so I am searching or more.

Soon grasshopper - soon!

Distance does not seem to matter much anymore though, this stuff came as fast as from anywhere else and the cost ( well really I have nothing to compare but it was very reasonable
)and postage was no more than anywhere else to be honest.
Gotta love the 'net ehh? makes global purchasing a breeze.

Hi

I've bought some from Bruce, and can report this stuff is really great. It turns a limp lexan body shell into a nice hard shell that can be painted the "proper" way, i.e. from the outside.

Bruce's instructions are specific and should be followed to the letter.

Another little tip is to use two very thin coats as this suff can "exfoliate" very badly if the materials are applied too thickly. (my first wasted bodyshell is proof of this!).

Great suff and while your about it get some bodyshells from him at the same time. They are cheap and the detail is very good.

I'm happy to write a review at some stage if you want one, together with TSRF chassis and Slot car heros chassis.

Regards

Hi guys, this sounds interesting.

I'd also like to see a written review of this product. I'd love it if you had the time Alan. Is it some kind of resin?

I just placed my first order from Bruce last week, and he sure has a lot of goodies in stock

Lovers of 1/32 Hard bodied Panoz might be interested in the £13 Fly Thread
Lots of Fly Panoz, complete with all the working bits at unbeatable prices - probably just about worth it for the Fly body ALONE and with the bonus of spare motors, axles, gears wheels etc. must be a good deal!

Sorry to say I'm not fond of Panoz and this may be a clue as to why so many are available at these prices!
