Cheers for the plan Inte! I can see numerous places where my car will probably leave the track

Jonny, I've seen the photos on the site, but there's nowt like a full plan to bring it home to you. Very technical. I only hope the plan (sorry) comes together at this end and our family can turn up (or at least my missus too!)

That's certainly a track to give your finger, or thumb a good workout! (Inte, I said Track!!)

It`s a track that still flows but you really do have to concentrate fully. Trick is to concentrate on racing your lane and not so much the other cars....reckon that goies for any track really? The most difficult part is the `Bus Stop` as you enter it by going downhill, you`ll grow to love it guys

Sore from opening the 'whore' up? lol

Tracks looks awesome, will remember to bring binoculars and grabber arm...

I was quietly confidant about the bus stop, because there is one at one of my home tracks of a similar size, which I have down... BUt it is of a different design, all the bends fit each other and are consequently differing radii. But no, yours is different because all of the bends are the same radii. I presume that you have filled in all of the 'gaps'?

Track looks great though, and I can't wait.

Anyway back to my setup. I've got my Audi going great around our 130 foot Ninco track (built especially for Pheonix practising... lol) I just need more grip, captain!! At the moment I have some worn out Proslot tyre on, but I know the grip comes right up with new Proslots. Do you know if silicones work well on your track (if they are allowed)? Or Slot.It P1 or P2? Just trying to keep my options open. Got a couple of ideas involving F1 parts too...

Yep, gaps filled in with MDF which can be a shock as it`s smooth so you are coming off grip to smooth
Main thing to look out for is the guy who lunges in and draws you with him, he brakes later than you because you hit your curve first and then you are off as he hits his curve, brakes safely and is away! Old hands won`t fall for this though eh Rob?

No silicon tyres. The ones that are made up of resin composite are a healtgh hazard anyway and the tyres you mentioned are the ones, PS,Slot It are spot on for non mag. Doesn`t matter so much with mag class, as long as they are trued.

Looking forward to seeing you lads BIG time. I`ve just got in from the end of another very long and hard w/end with five events in all. I need to be involved with the lads who are coming to brighten me up a tad, feel very worn

got a question about the Ninco track, since I have no experience of it -

what is the magnetism like on it? I have set up my MG-Lola so its running very nicely on scaley sport track, but is it going to be more stuck down on ninco? if so, I might need to put a better motor in, but if it is similar or weaker than scalextric track, I will leave it

Cheers

I have been practising with my Fly panox rather errrm "violently" at home and i seem to have killed its rear wing.

Is it still legal for the race - one very nice shiny panox - minus a back bit

I could glue it back on - but I would prefer not to be recovering parts of my car from all round the pheonix barn at the end of the race

Lv - a very frustrated with superglue at the ready - Hugs x x x

QUOTE I now have 3 cars ready and an option for a third

Shouldn't that be 2 cars and an option for a third? Obviously the electrical fields eminating from your controller have addled your brains...

I'm having problems with the back tyres on my Audi. They are rubbing on either the chassis or the body and Im going crazy. Move them in and it's the chassis, move them out and it's the body. Grind them down and it's not fast enough in a straight line, cut the width down and I'm losing grip. Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!

Oh well, I'll set up an Racer Porsche and maybe a Toyota aswell... Don't think I've got enough Slot.It gear though... dammit. It would happen the week before the bloody event!

Crisis overted: I can just race with a sub-standard car. NO, what am I thinking?!?!?!?!?! It will be fast....

Anyway, back to personality numero uno. Has anyone else had a problem with the Audi in this respect? I'm buggered if I can see a way around it without suffering some kind of penalty.

I just really don't want to reduce the contact patch. Think I'll make some bridgestone-a-like square shoulders... well, round them off a bit

I wish Slot.It would have thought about this before, because I love the car but the back tyres need so much work.

PS. Anyone care to comment on their set ups...

Non mag: 1 car body (Fly porsche gt1 98) 1 chassis, multiple wheel, tyre and gear ratios all slot-it with the combination to be finalised. Having the same issue with tyres which if I use the large diam hubs the wheel arches interfere and if I use the small hubs it contacts the chassis. This is with a sidewinder setup so I think I'll change it to in-line so the crownwheel centres the axle and this will resolve and chassis interference. Then use small hubs to aide acceleration as top end should be fine with the 29k v12/2 under the bonnet. Gear rations probably go with 2.8 or 3 ratios and see what suits me that day.

Front end - slot-it deep guide trimmed - easy to get it so it does not wobble with pink kar skinnies that will be off the track.

no expectations in terms of podium places but I plan to whoop your asses, well hopefully at least finish a race!

Slot It Audi, box standard. Tyres trued and glued, body loosened and fronts reduced to skinnie size. Parma Eco 25 ohm controller for a very quick response thru the curves and the `Bus Stop`. Club T Shirt and shorts, oh yes it will be sunny, sunny, sunny
