...just as an appetizer, some pictures of the 1/24-car Carrera will release the next weeks - excellent work compared to the old ones!
These are reliveries of the most "classic" car, Carrera produced - but completely reworked and modified. You might use it for your shelve to blame some shelve-queens - but this car is capable to race!

...in the mirror you see the strange face of the Carrera-designer - his nick is Slottus Longus as he's a fan of Monty Python...

...keen to get my ones to race them!

Are there plans for a 1/32 scale version?

@Paul
..the motor remains the same - max 18'000rpm at 18V - but the gearing has been changed to 14:50 - the old one has been 22:40 - so with the new gearing the car has brakes - and is a lot of fun to drive!
@Rob
- just go over to Slotcarworld.com - there are some pictures. If I get access to one of the new cars I'll make pictures and publish them here - just heard from a good friend that the new Evo-Porsches have excellent details and the wheels are a dream! But keep in mind - the Porsches are reworked old models for the 40 year-anniversary of Carrera - so they are NOT compareable to actual Fly or Scalextric-models as the body is thick and designed to be raced without cracking if you deslot...

...rough shape - yes - but reworked, new full interior, new wheels, new chassis - just the shape is the same...

...and there are real liveries - not like the fantasy ones they produced before!

...the 935-Martini, the Jägermeister...

..the 1974 Martini RSR...
Hope to get the real ones soon!

Wouldn't it be an excellent move on Carrera's part to offer 1/32 scale versions of all their 1/24 cars? This would help to avoid some buyer confusion and might also dilute licencing costs if spread over a greater number of sales.

...would not help - you've to pay your license for any product type and any scyle - so it doubles the costs and does not cut it. If you're familiar with the numbering system of Carrera - all 20XXX-numbers are 1/24, all 25XXX-numbers 1/32 - absolutely easy!
Lokk what will happen to the Monogram Chapparal 2D - it's 1/24 - but most people just look at slotcars on teh advertisement and say "Great" - and when they receive their shipment they have the first car of their future 1/24-collection
