Apologies if this isn't the right forum, please move it if not, I just couldn't figure out where to fit it. "tracks and scenery" was the other contender in my mind, but that's mostly showing off or questions about entire tracks.

I would like to have a small "feed in" single lane track area, dedicated for reslotting cars. Does scalextric (or anyone else) sell just the "passive" part of the pit lane exit set? I don't want to spend $89 just for a feed in lane! If I buy a pit lane set I'd rather use it as a third passing lane (as in the corner , etc) consider its cost.

Any ideas of where or how to get this?

Thanks

Another option is to make them yourself. Several people have shown how to "cut and shut" plastic track to make unique pieces. One of the best examples of MANY types of custom track pieces is the work of PSRRFH, and especially in his "Digital Diary of the Well Mountain Mad Man" thread. Check it out, and be prepared to be wowed. He treats plastic track like it's raw sculpting material. check some of his other threads for some other amazing track mods and landscaping feats.

Have a look on ebay, you might be able to get a good set there cheaply.

Good one, FZ.
I looked at it and the shipping charges from the US to Canada are $94.88, can you believe it? Can only guess what it would cost to ship to OZ.

I can buy 2 pit lanes for the cost of the shipping alone.

Getting back to the original question,

I was thinking the same think, reslot areas just SCX has, then asked myself if I have room to add them and what value they would be.
Then thought of an answer,

1) IF your pit exit is after your power base track (so exits are not double counted), and
2) IF desloted cars are reslotted at the EXIT of the pit lane, then the PENALTY for deslotting is....
Go directly to HOME, do not collect the $200 (sorry, Monopoly) and losing time by being sent back to the beginning of the lap of the deslot.

What do you think?

Cheers!

Is it that feeder track piece that you're looking for?

That is the feeder track piece I'm looking for. It's the "inactive" one, without an energized flipper.

That's not a bad idea, and is LIKELY what I will do, but it means I have to buy a pit lane set and can only use it as a pit lane, which I won't use much at all during races. I haven't upgraded to APB6 yet, but will be in a few months and using SSDC etc, so right now I just really have no need for a user selectable pit lane at this point.

The le-mons start track is basically close to what I'm looking for, but it just suprises me that scaley doesn't sell surplus/replacement single pieces of the feedout lane.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions, right now I'm going to take a look at crafting my own track bits.... I nabbed 8 straights off ebay for $38 yesterday, so I have some bits to play with

well, my 22,22 offer and P&P still stands firmly. I think the shipping would be around 14 euro in original box

that USA dude with 150USD is really a sad F%%k. I could bring it for that kind of money in person

cheers
