Hi guys...

A few weeks ago I told you that a friend of mine wanted to make buildings for me... but since she went skiing I couldn't wait... so I bought some of the material she uses normally to build maquettes.

This is what I achieved so far:

It's not exactly drool material, and the people walking around seem a bit pale... but it's a beginning... I will keep you guys updated...

More pics this week, and tomorrow my friend comes back, so hopefully she starts this week...

That's a great start tDi !

The units look like modern pre-fabricated concrete structures, quite realistic. Hopefully in the future we will see the figures dressed in something other than nuclear anti-flash white

I've been over at carrera4fun.de downloading some of their cardboard building plans. I just need the courage to empty my printer's colour cartridge

Very good work. Please show further progress shots. I bought some foam board following Nuro's piece on pit buildings and will shortly be tackling mine.

Thanks for the compliments guys...

Yesterday I made the pitwall, so now the "team-chefs" and the pitcrew are safe too... Maybe it's because the pitwall was't up yet the people looked so pale... they were vere scared when the cars drove by without any safefywall in between... hehe...

I also took some pictures yesterday but my pc-screen just gave up on me yesterday... so no pictures so far...

But today... (at work... hehe) I printed (with a high quality color-laser printer)decals and stuff to dress up the pitwall and the pitboxes... so I know what to do tonight...

But nooooooooooooh... tonight is race-night... where were my thoughts...

I'll keep you posted...
Pictures tonight or tomorrow!!!!

We had good time racing last night, so the pitbox didn't develloped much...

If the pits was operational, we could have used it last night... we had quite a few troubles during the endurances... 651rA's Viper broke down (see "Cars" on this forum) in the recent Le Mans. Futse's Spanish ETCC Beemer slowed down... A spectacular accident in the Alfa GTA Cup wich wasted 651rA's front spoiler...

But what the heck... here are some new pictures... featuring the pitwall (with and without publicity-panels)

More development and pictures coming soon!!!

After some nice "color laser" printing at work, I put some more advertisement on the boxes...

Before you guys comment the "nuclear anti-flash white people"...
I'll paint them once I have enough of them, so I can use one color on a lot of figures...

Tomorrow night I leave Belgium for 14 days...
I'm heading for Tenerife... so there won't be any updates soon...

If I find something interesting about there... I'll bring it home...
And if I can't pay it... I'll photograph it...

Gerard (aka Racebaan) allready told me there is a big SlotRally there this sunday...

Nice photos tDi

I see you have downloaded some of the vending machines from carrera4fun.de. good aren't they?

Have a great holiday in Tenerife - please let us know about any slot car shops over there if you find any
and if the prices are cheap. My brother in law has a timeshare in Tenerife and I'd love to go back

I think they look very good... if you can print them with a good printer.
I printed also some toolboxes and machines to put in the pitboxes...
But they'll have to wait until after my holidays...

We're going to a Time Sharing too! I went two years ago and had a wonderfull time... And about the slot-thingies... we are there 14 full days... so I'll have the time to shop and look around...

I'll keep you posted!

Gunther, looks great. Here's an old tip that you can try. Take the figures and remove the base. Drill a little hole at the bottom of their feet and glue something that can puncture the base. (piano wire) This way they look like they are standing on their own.

Hey guys...

I'm a few hours back from my trip to Tenerife... and I bought myself two presents... the new SCX ETCC Seat Toledo... and a Belcar Fly Marcos...
Both were 30 euro's... cheap ha?

@ Scatman:

The figures will be removed from their bases... but for now I only use the figures for a picture and for the measurements for my self-made buildings... and it's easy that they stand on those things for the moment... Once I have a lot of figures, i will paint them, and take the bases off...
But thanks for the tip!!!
