hi
if you go the pitpro route why not opt for the second sensor as well it is well worth the small outlay.

You can set ssdc to add a lap on pit exit with the extra senser so the pb can be set anywhere you like. Before the pit in the middle or after.

The extra senser also allows pitlane speed limiter to be used better as well.

It does not matter wich order the sensers are in either so you can place the pitpro where it is best suited to be viewed.

The simple answer is "No", you can place the C7042 anywhere, you just have to set SSDC so that it knows whether to add a lap or not when you go through the pitlane.

That is correct Kolle .... if the pit-out is outside the pits then other cars will make SSDC think that they have entered the pits.

You can also have the powerbase just after the pit exit, and IT will be the pit-out signal. This way, if you implement a pit speed limit, it will be canceled just after the car enters the track and crosses the line.
I point this out only if you feel the need to save money, and because sometimes a car is not properly detected by both sensors, so having the base there as a safety precaution isn't a bad idea.

See this thread here

There was a guy in the US doing the mods but he has been a quiet for a while. The good news is you can get discounted hardware from me or RichG as we are sourcing PLGs direct for modification. That makes it as cheap as getting it in the States.
