It’s quite interesting as it doesn’t look like any of the Classic Porsches 917 from Nsr , although a bag of spares from the rear would be useful, the problem is the big red cover that seems unique to both 917s and 956/62 Porsches.
Maybe and I’m just thinking loud, a flat print on paper glued a plasticard and then using the bits of an Nsr rear end or S&B those small headlights and use plastic rodes for the rear.
Will keep thinking mate😉

It depends how much trouble you want to take. It's best to start with a complete rear from a 917K (eg Fly or NSR) which takes care of the chassis tubes, exhaust, gearbox, lights. The tubes need to be rearranged a bit. The two boxes are simple rectangular shapes but they have metal banding around them. I built these from scratch thus:
Then there's the oil radiator attached to the tube holding the rear lights!

You can do it in TinkerCAD in an hour or less. Mine is obviously flat to save weight up high, but it's not a detailed model.

Body posts attached, rear is good, front could need a bit of height adjustment but nothing that the dremel couldn’t solve.

The pilots cockpit is a mix of a 3dp pilot and helmet over a small sheet of lexan cutted to the right size and a fire extinguisher from another car that was in the spares box.

Not 100% pure lexan but not a bad weight eh?
