Hi Bill
I too am pondering this for my next track. Rather than placing plastic pieces with wood I'm going to try and take the gubbings out of the xlcs (with flippers) and power base and build them into my track. I've just had a look at the gubbings and although tricky I think it would be achievable. My purpose for this is so I can make the changing lane 3 times the length as it is now and incorporate it into 3 lanes. Good luck with yours

Yo Bill........Your either fishing for compliments or your becoming a perfect rock coloring crazed mad man!!!!!!!!!! They look great and really suit what you are aiming to achieve here. By the time you add the finner details such as sun baked foliage and loose rubble etc they will look even better

Looking great Bill, I really like the simplicity of the whole project and the colouring of the road is fantastic, the creep looks as though the water is evaporating from the sun! Is the long grass home made or modeling product?
