Pre Add F1 Chassis

1793 Views 10 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  mac p
(Apologies if this has been covered in the past but) Mac Pinches is about to release his third series of pre-add F1 cars resin bodies which, if the first two series is anything to go by, will be well worth looking out for. Anyone any recommendations for a suitable chassis? Preferrably one with a front engine so I can work in a bit of cockpit detail?

Mac 'n' Graham will probably say "make your own!".

Pop into B&Q and pick yourself up a length of box section electrical conduit - you'll have enough for a gridfull of cars

Seems to me that Mac Pinches has a chassis out that he makes, to work work with his chassis, have not seen it lately advertized but I do have a picture here somewhere that was posted. It was very nice looking to fit his bodies. Will see if I can find it.

I bought a Maserati from Mac at a NSCC swapmeet and he recommended this chassis to me which I bought from another table at the meet. Sorry I can't remember the name of the chassis or maker but no doubt he will advise you when you buy a body from him.

Hi,
how about this one:

It is also adjustable in heigth, so that you can put on the correct wheels in scale!!!

Available at Jens (German slot shop):

Costs 19 Euros I think.

hi nico, the chassis you pointed to is 1/24 scale, but talking to michael ortmann sunday , he tells me that the guy who produces it is making a 1/32 scale version of it to fit my kits, it took quite a while for the first one to arrive, how long for the 1/32 ,?i would not know, allthough it only means scaling the first one down, ill post any details where and when it arrives, cheers mac p
