Can anyone shed light on this and the other similar items? Pink Kar and Scalex prototypes according to the blurb. Monster prices!

This is another of the one offs that raise my hackles when I see one person continually putting them up... get very nervous on validity,,,

It's legit I believe, the seller is well known and is a member of the NSCC who contributes regularly in Collector's Corner. He has some nice stuff and buys regularly from the known traders, of various one offs and prototypes etc. Many have recently surfaced out of a lifetime collection that was recently sold to a dealer, and as he states appeared in Adrian Norman's book.

He is a nice chap as well and not someone who would be selling anything that can not be validated, I'm sure.

Not sure on his philosphy of eBay as the prices are at the high end, so doesn't appear to sell much (maybe he does for all I know), so advertising there to sell may not be the main motive, but each to their own.

So how come I always see references on extremely rare cars for sale acquired recently from lifetime collection being inferred but never stated as sourced from Adrian Norman's former collection?

why not just state the car provenence is that its is from Normans' collection? Why the secrecy ?

Probably because Adrian Norman's Collection is not necessarily the only life time collection that has been sold.

No secrecy but generally out of respect/ politeness I or others wouldn't name who sold their collection.

No secrecy, no big conspiracy here.
