Great night's racing - really good fun. Peter drove really well all evening and deserved his win
And wasn't it lovely to have 30 lap finals? It gave you a chance to try and catch up if you made a mistake.

It was good to get the win - it's been a while.

I was fortunate that ......

Andy and his Slot It(s) wasn't there
Ken Tango'd (orange Raw Slot It Audi) me in the heats, but not (quite) in the A Final
Mike had a mare of an A Final

Alex was still adjusting his driving style to suit his nice new NSR Mosler
Jim had an off night (apart from fastest lap) - is it possible to have a car that's too fast?!

Anyway, I was happy to take the win whatever the circumstances.

Well done to Alf for winning his final
- that's all anyone can hope to do after the heats (such is the influence of yellow lane). With a best time of 6.426 being less than a couple of tenths behind people with Moslers, he showed some fine driving of a good (very nice looking Fly Racing X-Box Porsche GT1
) car.

14 drivers was a good turn out considering the Bank Holiday effect and the specialisation of the Pro class racing. I realise the Pro class cars (NSR, Slot It, possibly Ninco Pro Race and Fly Racing) are more expensive than the 'Standard' class cars but they are generally better quality components as standard and do give the scope for 'making even better'. Let's hope the performances of the better drivers and cars doesn't deter the other members from competing in a very exciting and rewarding class.
