Tonight saw 19 drivers contesting Round 5 of the NASCAR Championship, not one of the most popular race classes but it produced some really close racing and good lap times with these cars in near standard form.

Great to see Lauren and Shaun back after being away for a few months
and good to see Lauren immediately on the pace putting in some excellent lap times.
The results of tonight's finals were as follows :-

JIM 25PTS + 1PT FASTEST LAP OF EVENING 6.380secs

ALEX 23

ANDY 21
ALAN 20
ROGER 19
LAUREN 18

MIKE 17
PETER 16
GRANT 15
MARK 14
SHAUN 13
VIV 12
OLI 11
ROY 10
CHRIS 9
JAMES H 8
ALF 7
HARRY 6
JAMES T 5

Next week is Pro Saloons, followed by Pro Sports/Gt the last meeting at our current club room. Have a great week. Mike

Well done Mike for winning 3 finals! That has to be something of a record. Things people do to get more races

Good racing from the newer members in both showing restraint in a class that tends to be a bit 'bump and barge', and greatly improved driving skills giving strong results for Ollie and Grant, with Chris, Harry and James T close behind.

The volume seems to have tempered slightly with the new members getting to grips with the challenge of racing. They also were much more visible in making themselves available for marshalling. Well done all.

Welcome back Jim. The holiday certainly hasn't taken the edge off your winning form.

All the noise this week was coming from Cafe Corner and we don't need to ask who it was. If she reads this it's another
night in the shed. Mike
