Hi Russell,

I would think Can Am cars are classed as sports cars. I hope so as I may be running a Lotus 40.

Cheers

Russell and John - just read your posts. Yes Can Am sports cars are fine.
Hopefully by opening the classes up a bit more this will encourage more varied grids. Also, perhaps drivers have cars already built from the European races they can use. Thanks for your interest. Mike

PS. Peter has already started on the new track sections for when we move again which will minimise track down time.

Thanks for the clarification, Mike.

One more issue, please....

Regarding the rules for the 1/32nd F1/Indy class, when the race was scheduled for February, Andre Acker enquired about the eligibility of using Betta vac-formed styrene bodies. At the time, you said they would be allowed, provided they were to scale.

Can you please advise if Betta styrene vac-formed F1/Indy bodies will be eligible for the October event?

Apologies for being a pain in the proverbial, but I think it's good to clarify this before anyone gets building!

With kind regards,

Russell

Hi Russell & Lee.

Lee - place booked for you.

Russell - I have spoken with Charlie at Betta and the styrene shells are not scale. Width wise they are ok but they are much lower/flatter than they should be. So, sorry they would not be eligible for the event. Hope this answers your querry. Thanks. Mike
