Owing to the limitations we had with access and other financial implications placed upon us i have located a new premises very near to where we currently are located, at less than half the rent we have been paying.

The premises is very similar to the old Oaklands club room but has two extra rooms and will be located at Pound Farm, The Street,Hevingham in Norfolk, less than 5 minutes from the village pub.

Peter and I will be starting work on the new club room next Monday 12th making it more suitable for our members.

We move from our present club room on 29th March and hope to be up and racing within a couple of weeks altering the existing track yet again. The track lap length should be about 110 ft if Pete's maths are correct. This time we have incorporated a special section which will be known as 'The Seymour Swerve' a very long S bend which Alan says he should be able to take nearly flat out as he don't like micky mouse S bends. Lol. These guys from South Africa are Soooo difficult to please.

The guys from NSR have offered for us to race at their circuit on a Wednesday until ours is finished. Thanks for that Ken, Andy and JP.

It has been a difficult time at our present premises and I felt quite bad having to cancel two meetings we had planned for February and March as i know people had built cars for those two events. But, the good news is our October event is going ahead for 'The Megga Slot weekend'.

I look forward to meeting our regulars from other clubs who have supported our Classic Races in the past and i'm sure you will all like the new track as a lot of thought has gone into it's design.

The toilet facilities are excellent (bit different to where we are now!) and hot food will now be available on race nights.

I will get a track plan posted soon and photos will follow as we progress with the relocation.

Great days work today on the new club room. Rotten floor section repaired with new joists and boards, pit benches built, walls and ceiling also repaired ready for painting.

Special thanks to Peter and Shaun who gave up their time today to help.

This Saturday 17th at 10am is a 'painting day' at Presto Park to emulsion the walls - hope you can make it, if only for a couple of hours. Mike

The club will be open this weekend both Saturday and Sunday from 10am each day to restore the old track sections and build the new ones.

The more help i have the quicker we can be up and running and can get back to normal club nights.

Things have gone well with constructing the new circuit. Peter and I have got the track near to completion.Decoration of the club room is finished also. The new circuit looks good with a variety of bends and two long straights. All of the short comings with sight line on the old circuit have been sorted and there are no blind spots even for the junior members.

Over the next week or so Peter and I will be putting the final touches to the track, so we are hoping to have the everything ready for a shakedown/test night for everyone on 2nd May.

Confirmation of this date will be by personal email or telephone.

Last of the painting done today. The track and club room are now finished apart from wiring in the computer system and new lap recorder sensors, then putting on the scenery.

I am really pleased with the end result and Peter has done a great job bringing together the old and newly constructed track sections , and designing them so they fit well from the plans he drew up.

I look forward to welcoming you all to Presto Park either on a club night or for our Mega Slot weekend in October.

I have got a new computer so i'm still trying to fathom out how to get the pictures on Slot Forum and our web site will be updated fully once the scenery is completed.

Tomorrow night will be a practise night and the opportunity to rubber in the track ready for the first race next week - lap recorders permitting !
