Well I finally got this thing finished off . Man am I happy. It really drives better than I thought it would. It pretty much feels like the viper. It's 15 grams heavier than my cnc viper overall but it seems to have a good amount of snap. The extra weight seems to help it stay in the groove better. I didn't weigh the chassis by itself so I'm not sure if its in the chassis or the body. The Z has a full interior so that would account for some of the weight. I was only able to run it for about an hour but man is it smooth. My timing system is down so I wasn't able to compare lap times.

Doing this chassis was a blast and I'm definitely going to be producing some different models. I also learned quite a few tricks on this one that will help me next time.

Here's the link. Click on 240Z slotcarchassis.com

As a side note I have 3 chassis and 3 model kits available for sale. Email me at tig416(at)earthlink.net if your interested.

Thanks
Derek

QUOTE (h3lldriver @ 20 Sep 2004, 10:35)Great job Derek! Looks awesome!

So now - please go for the Arii Porsche 911 S Kit. I neeeeeeeed a chassi for my gf's modell...

All you need to do is find 9 of your friends that want them and I might give it a go!

But seriously there is a huge amount of time involved designing and machining these things. I did the viper because I needed one. I did the Shelby because I thought it would sell because of the available body kits and I did the Z because I couldn't live without it. I'm not sure what the next one is going to be. I'm thinking about a chassis for the Hornby TVR.

Hi Mark
Everything I have going is listed on the site right now. Unless you want to see pics of the foundry pattern I'm carving right now.
