the power supply: each lane has a seperate adjustable powersupply, 1.25 to 19V @ 3 Amp available
the timing: IR light bridge and laptimer 2000
the controllers: available controllers: 90/75/60 ohm parma eco, 45/35/25 Parma eco, 25/18/13 parma eco, 15/11/8 parma eco, i will choose the controller where the car is driveable as its best during the practice laps.

1) car must be approximately 1/43rd
2) max. width 50.8mm
3) no fluid may leak out, no grease, oil or braid juice may pollute the track, no tire glue or similar
4) teams may ask for a special voltage where the car should be run.
the standard racing voltage depends on the motor. I will run all car @ 12V, SCX and Carrera motors @14V, G9330 motors @ 10V. Again, if i get another information, i will run the car at the desired voltage.
5) car must have a body that looks like a car
6) no silicone tires, rubber and PU are fine,

concours de elegance: the best looking car will be voted by a poll open for all forum members

so i think these rules are wide open, so ladies and gentleman, i call you all out there to build your fastest, smoothest 1/43rd car for this race.
send in your trucks from the truck proxy we already had, just tune your stock SCX car a little and maybe blow the doors off all others, built something that was not seen before, it´s up to you.
Who will have the fastest car?
Small tip: K&D tires, Ortmann or JelClaws are the ones which work really good, foam tires don´t have grip on the flat latex surface.

The prices:
the first pick will go to the concours winner, than to the winner of the race, 2nd place concours, 2nd place race and so on...

list of prizes by now:
#1 Carrera Go! Porsche Spyder
#2 1/43rd 3D printed chassis for boxer (H0) Motor

list to be continued ....

have fun, Peter

O.K. after much Bellyaching, I DO have a car in the works!

I went to my "drawer" (which looks like somewhat like Bill's Drawers, but much deeper and with cars just kinda tossed 6 deep inside) and I culled through there for inspiration and I found it! A car I had bought a year or two ago with a sweet body and a carp Artin knock off chassis, so chassis has been pulled and a SCX chassis pressed into service, wheelbase has already been adjusted, body posts are being glued, and then I just have to do the mechanical mods!!

So, by this weekend, maybe I will have something in the mail!!

QUOTE (pfuetze @ 20 Sep 2012, 06:38) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Chuck carries K&D tires for the DSlots which are working simply awesome on my flat latex track. Most important point, as usual, is to get the tires very well trued.

Masmojo, looking forward to what you will come up with this time! Will you tune one of your former entries, too?

Good to hear on the Tires, I tried some of those on my D-slots and they hooked up good for a few laps and then they got dusty and they were pretty much the same as the stock tires. But, my track is "textured" and not super smooth like yours. My track is designed to be run "Dirty" an I like it that way!

No totally new car, I don't like sending the same car to different races. Now if I had a ringer I might enter it in several races as long as I was not sending it to the same track. Part of my motivation for entering races is to motivate me to build new cars, so the idea of tuning up something old does not come into play. I am sure I would be more successful if I did race and tune and race and tune the same car, but I would be bored.

QUOTE (JaakBeentjes @ 21 Sep 2012, 19:27) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I am very impressed with this D-Slot car.
Seeing some possibilities there.

Do any of you guys know this chassis?
1:43 Chassis

Looks interesting and has a good price.
The chassis is a techno slot and it is well regarded, designed to be used under Die casts, but I am sure you could put a vac or resin on it just as easily. Cost is probably O.K. for you over there, but the exchange rate and shipping really jacks the price up for us over here.

Yes, the D-slots are good, so good in fact that I have totally given up on Carrera's, not worth my time.

Interesting Chassis Jack!

Always cool to see what idea's the guys coming across from 1/32 will have up their sleeves!

I think generally they come into 1/43 with an Idea of something they want to try in 1/43; You know, to "See if it'll work" and it's always Cool to see the results!
