Can someone explain to me exactly how the Pursuit mode works on the C7042 APB, and how to configure it? (especially with 3-4 cars on the layout including pacers)

Or, if not, at least point me to a place where I can get more information that the next-to-useless supplied manual provides?

Maybe I'm just being dumb....but I just cannot figure it out at all.

...... I'm not sure that anyone has ever actually used this feature, or at least admitted to it. Seems to me like one of those things that appeared to be a good idea at the time ..................

I may be wrong (likely) but I think that you set a lap time with one car then try to better each time you go around the track.

I use pursuit mode in SSDC quite a bit. Chasing down pace cars within a time limited race is great fun - especially when you given them a head start (using a delay for your car) and they don't have to refuel. How hard can you make it for yourself ?

The pursuit mode in the APB itself is a bit different. You set the number of laps that the lead car needs to be ahead by in order to win. As soon as any car gets that number of laps ahead, the race ends. Have to say that I never used it much!

pursuit in SSDC is great !!!! i normally set several pace cars with much slower speeds and lane change on ... I set the front pace with a much higher speed and no lane changing so it simply takes off ahead of the pack .... you need to get through the traffic and catch him .. before he escapes to freedom .... a bit like cops and robbers .

This one is good fun with two people rather than against a pace car. It works in analogue too, of course.
The APB missing laps issue (yep, still a problem here) can spoil it a bit though!
Cheers,
