Hi all,
I really loved the 1:1 cars

and Ebay has been NO HELP at all..... Our club recently started running a separate "No-Mag GT" class and I think I want one!

Does anyone remember these? :

Are they any good?
Can they be improved?
Have any extras lying around?

Any help will be appreciated...
Thanks,
Chuck

Heavy and underpowered. It does have presence though! The stickers are probably the worst, most toy like of all the SCX cars from that time.

They weren't at the time they came out though! I remember the 4wd classes at the clubs I run at being re-named "4wd rally" after these monsters became the only car to have.

As Riko points out, these were one of the first new models produced in China under the "Tyco Matchbox" tie-up and the decoration was pretty awful. The last, silver, car is not so bad though.

I remember being very interested when I saw an Audi 90 in the release schedule for SCX that year. And being very disappointed when I finally got them, thinking that there is no way a real car can look like that and it must be an awful model. Then a couple of years later I saw the real one at Goodwood

Plenty of 'em over here Chuck, perhaps try UK Ebay for an international shipper?

At the time I was shoe-horning the black SRS motors into all my spanish cars. But this one I couldn't do as it had a drive shaft at both ends. It was pretty slow on my long tracks, suspect that on a tight twisty circuit it would have been more competitive...

thanks for the replies fellas... I'll give ebay.uk a look. I plan to repaint and make custom decals for it if I can ever find one, so even the other "Yacco" livery would work just as well.

Thanks again for the input...
