Just mentioned it in the F1thread, JPJ was a great engineer,first saw him at Thruxton ,Easter 1976 F2 meeting Elf 2J.
The European F2 championship was big business in its day, decent drivers, March, Chevron, Ralt, Elf, Martini chassis, RIP.
Was lucky enough to meet him wandering around the paddock at Le Mans several years ago. He seems shocked that I recognised him, and was more than happy to pose for a picture and sign an autograph for me.
