Are there any class/type of racing which has or uses their car horns? I don't seem to recall hearing such on the track and I don't recall such being part of the cockpit decor.

Please help the novice..

Thanks

Just like Inte mentions, I do not think there is any competition form of racing that utilises horns, more than likely the use of headlights is just as effective - unless you are Schumacher and a brake test is deemed necessary to catch your opponents attention...

Inte you haven't seriously fitted a 'musical' horn to your road car?

There you were slagging off the Burberry/Max Power brigade...

One of my Dad's mates had a bloody great speaker under the hood of his Celica with various gadgets so he could pack a normal "paarp" sort of thing or have it sing through various apt snippets of songs he'd taped.
Then for very special drivers he had a microphone rigged up for that personal touch..

I can't think what the songs were now but I'm sure you all have a favourite bit you'd use like "Death Cab for Cutie" or something. (Oh - for you whipper snippers out there I'm referring to the once & legendary Bonzos not the people who used the name for their band)

Most NASCARs and Touring cars have a form of horn... it involves making noise by slamming front of your car into rear of the guy in front.... gets attention, quite effective too!
Especially at speed!

LOL Wish it had been...I could have done with an ice cream! I think it was some kind of old Ford Escort.
