This report has been much delayed as I went off to Spain for 9 days with the family the day after the race meeting (lucky me!) and I've only just got around to writing up the report this evening.

My track was the venue and there was a great turnout with myself (Ronan), Ed, Tony, Dave, Stephen, Bryan, Paul, John and George. George was a welcome sight as he had not been able to make it out racing for a few months following a nasty cycling accident earlier in the year.

The lane order on my track is yellow, red, blue, green. All drivers get 4 races each, one on each lane, and the driver on the yellow lane gets to pick the type of cars to be used (meaning you get at least one race with a favourite type of car). Getting all of us to agree on a limited number/types of cars to use per "season" as it were has not really worked as we have such a diverse range of cars and tastes between us hence the variety of what we race.

Race 1 was Ed's choice and he went for Hpi Skylines:

The start order was Ed on yellow, Tony on red, Dave on blue and Stephen on green. Everyone used the R32 type Skyline.

The result was:

1. Ed (fastest lap)
2. Dave
3. Tony
4. Stephen

Race 2 was my pick (Ronan) and I went for Ninco GTs:

The start order was Ronan on yellow (Ninco Ford GT), Bryan on red (Ninco Lexus), Paul on blue (Ninco Ascari) and John on green (Ninco Ascari).

The result was:

1. Ronan (fastest lap)
2. Paul
3. Bryan
4. John

Race 3 was George's pick and he went for TransAm type Scalextrics:

The start order was George on yellow (Scalextric Mustang), Ed on red (Scalextric Corvette L88), Tony on blue (Scalextric Corvette L88) and Dave on green (Scalextric Corvette).

The result was:

1. Ed
2. Tony (fastest lap)
3. George
4. Dave

Race 4 was Stephen's pick and he went for 1960s saloons:

The start order was Stephen on yellow (SCX classic Seat 850), Ronan on red (Revell Lotus Cortina), Bryan on blue (Revell Lotus Cortina) and Paul on green (Scalextric Ford Escort).

The result was:

1. Ronan (fastest lap)
2. Stephen
3. Paul
4. Bryan

Race 5 was John's pick and he went for Scalextric TransAm/Corvettes again:

The start order was John on yellow (Scalextric Mustang), George on red (Scalextric Mustang), Ed on blue (Scalextric Corvette L88) and Tony on green (Scalextric Corvette L88).

The result was:

1. Ed (fastest lap)
2. George
3. Tony
4. John

Race 6 was Dave's choice and he chose modern era touring cars:

The start order was Dave on yellow (SCX Volvo), Stephen on red (SCX Volvo), Ronan on blue (Scalextric Seat Leon) and Bryan on green (Ninco Mercedes DTM).

The result was:

1. Stephen (fastest lap)
2. Ronan
3. Bryan
4. Dave

Race 7 was Paul's choice and he went for Ninco 4x4's:

The start order was Paul on yellow (Ninco Bowler), John on red (Ninco Hummer H2), George on blue (scratchbuilt Mitsubishi Pajero Dakar) and Ed on green (Ninco Ford Ranger).

The result was:

1. Paul (fastest lap)
2. Ed
3. George
4. John

Race 8 was Tony's choice and he picked 1980s rally cars:

The start order was Tony on yellow (SCX Lancia 037), Dave on red (SCX Lancia 037), Stephen on blue (GOM Alfa GTV) and Ronan on green (SCX Ferrari 288 GTO).

The result was:

1. Ronan (fastest lap)
2. Tony
3. Dave
4. Stephen

Race 9 was the last of the night and was Bryan's choice. He picked Fly Trucks:

The start order was Bryan on yellow (SISU), Paul on red (SISU), John on blue (Buggyra) and George on green (SISU).

The result was:

1. John
2. Paul (fastest lap)
3. George
4. Bryan

The final scores resulted in a tie at 15 points for me (Ronan) and Ed, so the decider was who got the most fastest laps, and I just edged Ed out with 3 versus 2. So a hard fought win on the night for me!

The overall final scores were:

1st Ronan 15 points (3 fastest laps)

2nd Ed 15 points (2 fastest laps)

3rd Paul 12 points

4th Tony 10 points

=5th George and Stephen 9 points

=6th Dave and John 7 points

7th Bryan 6 points
