The track looks superb, shame to race on it and the facilities are second to none. I'd encourage anyone whom races in the vicinity to try us out becuase you will only be impressed and won't be able to stop yourself coming back again and again.

You can also challenge yourself against one of the top and ever improving BRSCA racers in the country, Mr Gavin Wills, and also face, we hope on a regular basis, multi national champion Mr James Cleave.

We had a great first nights racing on the raceway last night and even had two former world champions James Cleave and Antonin Vojtik visit our new club!
With twelve racers competing we had two full grids and the refurbished raceway lived up to expectations with some great times being posted and it was nice to welcome new visitor Nick who acquitted himself well on his first visit.
Next Tuesday (Sept 4th) we will welcome members of the Luton and North London slot car clubs for the final round of this year's Area 6 Group C challenge for 1/32 Falcon production and Group 12 saloon chassis in what I'm sure will be a well supported and fun evening of racing.

Hi All

I was that newbie Nick, I was made most welcome and had great fun coming last !!!

I look forward to seeing you all tonight 4th Sept, where there are rumors, I will be doing a "deal" to get some equipment of my own.

Any advice welcome on set up etc

When work quietens down over the winter,I will also be adding a Slotstox to my racing stable, my background is in slotstox racing at Peterborough some 15 or so years ago.

QUOTE (montoya1 @ 4 Sep 2012, 13:37) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Nick - how about a slot car demo track up at the real Rock?
I will ask the question, might be a bit late for this year as the big meeting is only 2 weeks away.
But an idea for next year, i would have thought.

I will check with someone tonight if the question has been raised before.

Hi guys,

Just wondering what time anyone will be there tonight?

I haven't got a G12 car but would like to pop along earlier to test some cars for this weekends Flandres vintage meeting,

Cheers

Hi John, I should be there by about 4 pm. What track did you want as there is work being done to lap counting on raceway so it may not be useable for a period of time. I don't know how long as I'm not doing the work.

If you want to race tonight a 32 production car would be OK, with saloon body if you have one, alternatively I can lend you one but bring a controller.

Thanks Steve,

I'll get there some time after 4 then. I'm just doing last minute stuff, trueing tyres etc.

I'd like to spend some time on both tracks, I'm not too worried if the lap counters are working I just want to check how they handle.

Im not too bothered about racing tonight but thanks for the offer.

Cheers

Important message for everyone racing D3 next week. October 2nd.
The second class will be Saloon not F1 as listed on the website.

David, if you read this could you alter the website please?
The second class for D3 evenings alternates between F1 and Saloon but the website lists F1 for every D3 evening.

Cheers.
Mick.
