Very happy to say that The UK's oldest slot car club has been fully back up and running for some time now.

Racing is every Friday night with doors open by at least 7:45pm. Visitors and new members are more than welcome.

Our address is still Steel Spinnings Ltd, 94-96 Steward Street, Birmingham B18 7AF but although we are outside of it, Birmingham now has a chargeable clean air zone in the city centre so you are advised to plan your route accordingly. See Where is the Clean Air Zone | A clean air zone for Birmingham | Birmingham City Council

Check out the club's Facebook page (Oaklands Park Model Car Club) which is regularly updated with results and forthcoming events.

Hi Eddie.
Great to hear from you and hope you are keeping well. The picture is one of the original SF ones from about 2014 when the track had just been completed. We really should take some new ones!

It is still in very good shape which is testament to how well it was constructed. The room has been redecorated and now boasts a large TV screen alongside race control so that everyone can check progress.

The Parker clan is still very much part of the club although Ralph has de-camped to the other end of the room while Sandy looks younger these days!!! (yes, I am trying to get in her good books:):))

It would be good to see you back on track again. Maybe you can persuade Owen as well!
Yes Mick, Coop recognised the photo as an old one. One of his possibly.
Looking forward to meeting up with Ralph and Sandy at Rockingham's Double Trouble meeting in April.
