I am note sure if this problem has been addressed before. I made a racing line curve out of 2 CLC's. All cars pass through the racing line without incident. If I choose not to use the racing line curve that is i do not press the LC button then I have a problem with Slot.it cars comming to an abrupt and sudden halt as the guide slams into the inside rail immediately after the flipper. What is happening is as the guide runs an long the edge of the flipper, it exerts pressure on the flipper and when it passes the pivot point the pressure changes the flipper and exposes the leading edge of the rail. Is this due to the Slot.it guide being longer than the Scalextric guides and do you recommend trimming the Slot.it guides to the same length as the Scalextric guides. The problem also seems to be related to the magnetic force, the stronger the magnet the more frequent the guide collisions. The worst offender is my Slot.it Ferrari F40, I need a crow bar to get this on off the track!

Does the guide return to middle by itself? Use the braid wire, and adjust and fix wires so the guide centres automatically every time. This can happen to any brand or type of car.

After very careful examination the problem appears to be a combination of the older CLC without the raised dimple on the inside and the need to taper the rail behind flipper. I have done both of these mods and when I push a Slot.it car through the s bend I do not feel any interference of the guide. Tomorrow I will put it back into my track and try it under power.
Thanks for all your input.
