Hi,

I'm trying to find out the colour of racing pits back in the 1960's. Plenty of black and white photos of that era, very little colour, and when it was used, mostly of cars with grandstands in the background, not the pits.

I can work out that the side walls would probably have been 'natural' concrete, and the front painted white, but things like the counter top and roof colour are a mystery.

Possibly black/charcoal for the roof as I guess it's probably just tarred over concrete...

Any answers for what the colours really should be?

Regards

Lawrence

I spent a weekend with the Rondel F2 team in the pits at Brands in the 70`s (Ron Dennis was the miserable boss) and seem to remember they were basic! breeze block walls(painted?) and corrugated zinc(tin) roof, pit counter concrete slabs.
cheers steve
