Here, courtesy of Slot Car Garage, is the first of what I hope may be several reports on the recent Rad Trax Slot Car Convention in Las Vegas - one of the most fun events of any slot car year.
A nicely written, informal report with lots of pics.

Report by Shawn Smith

Keen eyed and observant SF readers may recognize some familiar names and even faces who visit us here from time to time.
LONG may they continue to do so!

This is one bash that I would dearly love to attend one day.

Completly agree with you Tropi, I would love to attend one year, (how about a Slot Forum Jolly boys tour?).

Great report by Shaun, and some amazing cars, (I love that Cheetah!).

Regards

Always a wonderful event to attend. I have been fortunate to have been to 5 of the 6 events held so far. Meeting the attendees is the most fun of all and then seeing the stuff they bring along is great also. Then we have to put up with running the stuff we brought as well as the stuff the others brought, in for practice or play time.

Then there are planned races such as the TSRF in 1/32nd and 1/24th. A well as Ninco and Scalextric races. Then we have several ad hoc races for Vintage 1/24th Nascars. 1/32nd scale F1 cars, 1/24th vintage sports cars etc. etc.. Really very hard to put up with

Then all the stories much like the confessional thread ones on here and many other types of tall tales and prevarications. Too much fun for 3 days solid. And what a town to drive around in gawking at it in what little spare time from the track you have. Check out some photos from SCI's photo gallery.
