I wasn't sure which forum to post this in, so I'll try here first. Maybe Master Class or Scratch Build might be better??

Anyway, I have 9 rally cars in my collection I want to re-number. I've downloaded the images I want to use, and have experimented by using white sticky labels. Now that I'm happy with the results, I'm almost ready to end the bodgery and do the job properly by using white decal paper. However....

I'm guessing that the decal paper won't be thick enough to mask the original numbers/rally plates (I haven't actually got it yet, though, so I could be wrong - but I'm sure someone will put me right). If that's so, what's the best way of stopping the originals showing through my artistry(??) without having to do a full re-livery?

TIA
Stuart.

The decal paper I had wouldn't cover very well with one layer, another option is to use an "undercoat" of decal paper the same size as thhe decal you're applying, you will find you can put one on top of the other and a double thickness shouldn't show through. Painting out the area as suggested above is a good idea though.
