Hi Everyone,

My favourite online slot shop has some various chassis available for the older F1 style cars so I bought all the bits to build a Vanwall, a Ferrari Sharknose and a Copper Climax.

Sadly they did not have the rear axles for the Vanwall or the Sharknose. Does anyone know where these can obtained from?

If not, is there a suitable axle that could be modified to fit and work ????

Hi Greg, nice pick-ups.

Which brand of Vanwall & Ferrari did you get ... Airfix, Scalextic ?

It would be helpfull to know this so we all know what rear axles you need, these 2 brands had different setups.

And as we always say, check with Phil Smith and Derek Cooper, the two main vintage dealers in the UK, who often have a lot of miscellaneous parts lying around!

I was kind of assuming you're talking about the Scalextric models here...

D'OH ........... too much of a hurry.

The cars are scaley and the codes for the axles are: Ferrari 156 - W9211 and the Vanwall is W9147.

I have to say that these cars are completely brilliant ........ well done Scalextric, can I have some more like these, please??

Crikey ....... just sorted out a matching axle set for the Vanwall. Gotta just love this t'internet thing
