Hi.
Approximately one month ago, we discovered (thanks to Richard Girling) a problem in the allocation of the oXigen channels - something that had to be fixed, with a 2.0 version, to the expense of breaking compatibility with the existing parts (all version 1.0). So we had to do the work of changing what had to be changed, test it (we did some racing and public demonstration at the Modena 'Play!' fair, and all went well), prepare the new flash code, test the upgrade, prepare manuals and upload everything to our web site.
We did not want parts with v. 2.0 to be sold before everything was ready for the upgrade, to avoid causing too much trouble.
We are now ready to give you all the links to reflashing sw, manuals, and firmware
Download the new manuals from
http://www.slot.it/INGLESE/Oxigen_Manuals.html
In particular, new is the 'bootloader' manual. I have not proof-read it well yet, probably...
Grab the bootloading sw from
http://www.slot.it/INGLESE/Oxigen_Software.html
Get the Firmware (all versions, including current 1.x and 2.x)
http://www.slot.it/INGLESE/Oxigen_Firmware.html
Be aware: all oXigen parts purchased from now on should be 2.x - so if you have 1.x units, you will have to upgrade.
One small known bug has been fixed, too: if you pressed lane up, and brake, as if you were reprogramming the car to a different channel, in race mode, you'd also add your own laps to the new channel's car, if present. It's very nice to do so to your mate's score, but I guessed it had to be fixed
Please make sure to read the bootloading manual. There's a several pages walk-through upgrading from 1.x to 2.x.
Caveat: the controller is a bit 'deaf', so to speak: we don't know why yet, but it may take you a few attempts to reflash the controller properly. It's a safe operation anyway, if it fails, it can restart from the beginning.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Regards
Maurizio
