<{POST_SNAPBACK}>With the thousands of fonts out there is should be possible to find one very similar to the original, I suppose the question is on a repro box how accurate does the repro sticker have to be?
I bought those puny repro number plate decals for an old Scalextric Aston Martin to try and give it credibility, was happy with them at the time simply because I didn't know any better. Then I bought another Aston which had the original number plate decals on it. The font was like typical 60's and it dawned on me the carp they sell nowadays is so very very poor in relation to the real thing.
As you say DJ, there are thousands of fonts available and no doubt the original font Scalextric used is there too, but the out of touch retailers out there just can't be bothered to look for them, so anything will do as long as they can sell it.
I've learned my lesson and from now on when I'm looking for some authentic 60's decals I'll find the right font and print them out myself.
