I've always found this site very helpful for advice in the past, so I'm back on here to pick the brains of you expert sloters out there, my problem this time is I purchased an old Scalextric owners pit building which has faded, flaking paint on it, I want to restore it to it's former glory (forever an optimist). What I need to know now is, what's the best way to completely strip the paint off without damaging the plastic panels.

Looking forward to the various helpful tips.

I have used "Modelstrip" with very good results but it can take a while.

Yep, I have used Modelstrip and found it very useful.
Just be careful and use some rubber gloves - its pretty nasty stuff!!

Hey I've just found this youtube video on how to remove paint from plastic minis - it's a lot cheaper than 'Modelstrip'

Check it out folks.

Thanks for sharing... a most interesting find.... now it makes me wonder what Dettol will do to my cuts and bruises!
