ROUND 1 - GT/ENDURANCE CARS
Report by Graham Pritchard
Thursday 6 September heralded the start of a new era for all of us with our long time member & 6 times Club Champion James Noake deciding to take some time off from the hobby & our club.
It was also the start of the new season and we kicked it off with GT/Endurance cars.
The usual mixture of Ninco Mosler's, Audi R8's & Ford GT's were also joined by my Lexus which suddenly seemed better than all of my other cars for some reason tonight.
With only 6 people present we decided to race 3 on & 3 off and the results for the evening were as follows :
1/ Steve B 30
2/ Will 28
3/= Graham P 26
3/= Jonathan 26
5/ Ian H 22
6/ Paul P 12
.........and the above results translate into the following Championship points as follows :
2012/13 CHAMPIONSHIP TABLE TO DATE POINTS /ROUNDS COUNTING
1/ Steve B 12 (1)
2/ Will 11 (1)
3/= Graham P 9.5 (1)
3/= Jonathan 9.5 (1)
5/ Ian H 8 (1)
6/ Paul P 7 (1)
In a bid to make our racing classes more user friendly to prospective members for this season we have widened the parameters of most of them in order to allow more brands of cars to be eligible, and we have reduced the number of classes that count towards the overall Club Championship in order to allow for the inevitable everyday things in life like not being able to come every week or bad weather etc and we therefore hope that anyone out there reading this who has felt tempted to come to see us in the past may now feel more tempted and go that further step and actually come to see what we do.
Should you wish to make that step then we guarantee you a warm welcome & a friendly night's racing for no cost to you at all.
(Please also check out our new website or our FACEBOOK page for more information on the club).
Next week it's Rally Cars so I hope to see you then.
Cheers,
Graham P.
