Penelope pitlane do a clubman alloy which is 15mm diameter (including tyre) by 5mm wide using the tyre they make for it.

I have used this on the George Turner resin Sprite which is thought by many to be scale accurate, it looks good and fits perfect.

Feel free to call around and have a look as you don't seem to be that far.

QUOTE they run ok but hop a bit through the corners

Hi Peter,

The hopping can also be caused by a loose motor.
Gluing the motor was on my SCX BMW M3 the right solution.
I hope this will help you.

I used the Penelope Pitlane 13x2 wheels on my Cortina I entered in the Pony Car wars proxy race in the US.
These wheels look perfect on the car. In fact, these wheels will take the stock rubber tires from the car.

I do recommend upgrading the rear drivetrain (axle, bushings and gear) if you decide to use the PP wheels.

I run on Scalex Sport track (non-mag) which is similar to Carrera & only had to replace the rear tyres with Ortman SCX Mk2 Escort replacements & its fine, no hopping at all. Unless you have a bent wheel hub or axle??
