Hi,

I was in my local hobby shop on Saturday and spotted some Revell 1/32 model kits of 2004 rally cars. Subaru, Citroen, Peugeot.

I bought a Citroen for no particular reason other than it won the championship. Has anybody else got one of these kits? It is worth converting to run on the track or is it better as a static bit of scenery?

I had intended to use some spare parts to get it running. I have an unused 4x4 SCX motor but need to build the chassis etc. Any advice welcomed.

I've not got one of the Rally kits but I do have some of the DTM kits, two of which I grafted on TSRF chassis. A while back GRAH1 posted a how-to feature where he converted a Revell kit to a slotcar using the actual kit chassis so I imagine this will still be relevant to the Rally cars. I'm not sure how good the search functionality is on this board but hopefully it (or Graham) can point you in the right direction.

Thanks Graham!

As it happens I also have a spare Proslot motor and mount! Plus I am sure I can dig up a Ninco axel. I will give your conversion a go over the Christmas hols and post the results. (If it isn't too embarassing!)
